Angelo Bris, Helene Knorr and Sarah Holz were at Maison & Objet for the first time with Heritage 1864 and Vasevoll. Heritage produces beach chairs inspired by the German “Strandkorb”. Vasevoll produces faux bouquets. All of the products are inspired by Hele Knorr’s heritage house.

Now with fire-safety label, designed especially for the UK market. ‘They’re all named after different cities, Vienna or Copenhagen for example, so you can pick the chair from your favourite city’, she explains.

Maison & Objet showcased several rooms called “Nouveaux Mondes”, presenting what’s new in the world of interior design. ‘The spaces present fictional ecosystems where the major challenges facing our Earth are playing out: water, plant life and minerals. They are major sources of inspiration for creative design and embodiments of the necessary changes that await us.’
The “Meta Vegetal” room represents and enchanted jungle. Botanical and floral motifs are combined with geometric shapes and intense deep greens. The presence of nature here inspires the emerging trend in biophilic design.
“Mineral Desert” shows mineral and solar-tinted shades. Primal, elemental shapes are paired with stone and ceramics.
“Deep Sea” takes us into the ocean. Soft, wavelike shapes, transparency and reflective effects, textures inspired by coral are central in the design. Spotlighted are bio-sources materials made from algae and recycled shells.
