Family-owned company FreshPublishers is a major news platform that provides readers with the latest updates in a simple and accessible way, including market information, interviews with industry entrepreneurs, and reports with photo coverage from trade fairs.
You will be working for InteriorDaily, focusing on selling advertisements and writing articles for this international, English-language publication. Networking, attending (international) trade fairs, and sales are key aspects of this role.
Your Role
As a Commercial Accountmanager, you will be part of the InteriorDaily editorial team, focusing on the European market.
In this role, you will build a network in the European B2B interior and furniture industry. You will do this by writing articles based on (telephone) interviews and selling advertisements to enhance businesses’ visibility.
You will also regularly attend (international) events and trade fairs, where you will interview entrepreneurs and create photo reports, which you will then develop into articles for online publication. Maintaining relationships with contacts will be an important part of your job.
Experience in the interior and furniture industry is not required—we will gladly train you! What we do seek is an entrepreneurial and driven mindset. You have a strong talent for promoting and selling advertisements and banners and are determined to grow your revenue each month.
Are you a sales expert with a keen instinct for opportunities and also skilled at writing engaging content? Whether it’s a short news update, an interview, or a trend report, you know how to capture the key information and present it in a clear and engaging way.
Your Responsibilities
-(Telephone) sales of advertisements and banners
-Building and maintaining a network
-Informing and advising (potential) clients
-Maintaining contact with advertisers
-Gathering information by following up on news topics
-Developing sales goals and strategies
-Writing articles and news updates
-Conducting and writing interviews and/or reports
-Attending (international) trade fairs and events, creating photo reports and writing articles for online publication
Your Profile
-MBO or HBO level of education (or equivalent experience)
-Available for 30 - 40 hours per week
-Strong communication skills and excellent proficiency in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
-Experience in (telephone) sales
-A natural networker with commercial and sales skills
-Sociable and deadline-driven
-Able to quickly build a network of companies and contacts
-Willing to travel and attend (international) trade fairs to expand your network
-Always looking for commercial opportunities and ready to act on them
-A team player who enjoys working in the office with colleagues when not traveling
